Lion rolled his emerald-gold orbs at her and snorted, You finnaly catch that? he asked her sarcastically to the young doe. He watched as she lowered her head, as if she were a buck ready to challenge him, he chuckled a bit of mock laughter at her. Basically asking her silently if she thought she was really good enough to take him, but not one to back down from a challenge male lowered his own head as well. His horns hadn't grown but half-an inch from the top of his head. Oh well. Summoning a growl from his other half, he opened his maw to reveal a satifasingly loud roar before plunging forward, head down, eyes ahead.

Sleath clomped her teeth again at his laughter, even pawing at the ground impatiently for good measure. She didn't expect to beat him at brute force, intelligence was her thing. Not that she would bother to think of any malicious scheme, getting into the winning zone was a bad idea when she didn't feel like hurting the other, more often than not she wound up getting something lethal through. Only if Lion turned out to be weaker than her femenine bulk would she win. A small chuckle rumbled her chest, before leaping to meet Lion with her head. His short antlers dug into her head, but though she didn't have horns of her own, does still had hard flexible skulls. Sleath pushed forward with her back feet, concentrating on keeping their heads together (Without locking horns, it was hard to push properly). Her front hooves lifted off the ground, ready to dart out and hit the ground if she slipped and fell to the side.

Lion chuckled as she pushed forward againest his short horns, he returned her push. Moving his mass forward with practiced ease. He was used to fighting, something he had picked up before being kicked out of the herd. He used his muscle to push againest her, not really wanting to hurt her, but knowing his antlers would start to dig in soon so he laid off the heavy pushing and laid it back to minimum pushing to make sure she didn't get hurt. Sleath used the moment his push lessened to give a mighty shove of her own, back hooves digging into the earth for grip. Female though she was, the idea he would treat her like some fragile thing did not go well. Dearly she wanted antlers of her own, she had heard a few Does actually sprouted antlers, but her head had remained flat, despite her wishes. "Rawwrrr" She growled. Wanting to toss her head up and down in the way she'd seen bucks do, but knowing if she did that, Lion's nose would probably end up in her eye or something. It wasn't fair only a few Does got horns, she could use them just as well as any other deer!

Lion dug his heels into the turf behind him and pushed again, not lessening his shove or power. He returned her roar with one of his own, althrough he was in deer form, his lion roar still came through and was quaking and loud enough to scare some into hiding. He smirked and shoved, lifting his crown slightly and back down again.

"Thats one mighty roar you got there" Sleath complimented, even though she wished she could roar that loudly. Leopards didn't have huge roars, living a solitary life they had less need to sound strong by roaring, though there were solitary cats that could still make one's ear's ring. Sleath gave another forward heave, teeth flashing as she grinned. The bloody ground behind her wasn't doing much in terms of grip, and the solution was to move Lion back so she could get her hooves into sturdier ground.
