Grinning with satisfation as her black spotted fur touched uncharted territory, she prowled forward with arrogant confidence. The rain had greyed the skies, making her white body with its black spots ill-defined against such a hazy background. Her long tail trailed behind like a faithful dog, twitching or curling every now and then. White ivories glistened behind drawn back lips, stating her purpose was not a kind one. Though only being a fawn as a deer, this meant that when Sleath changed she only turned into a snow leopards cub, and not the bigger deal. Though it didn't bother her all that much, things would come in time. For such a spoilt little brat, she had learned patience was a virtue. When living a life which didn't even look safe day in and out, one learns to learn what they can before the lessons become too hard and crush that one. Sleath had pushed through it gallantly, being part leopard had helped greatly, keeping her relatively unhunted until she could find her feet, and being a deer it wasn't like she could starve around meadows. "Cat, I'm a kitty cat, and I dance dance dance and I dance dance dance!" Sleath sang, a throaty purr making her words rumble. The strong scent of a bull was around, and her fur itched to meet it. Danger? Ha! She laughed at danger, let it chase her tail before she turned on danger itself and gave it in abundance to those she could so choose. All in time, when she was bigger, stronger, more mature. The wait would be worth it, she was sure.

Kamir Well you've wondered near Now tell me why you're here
Kamir was standing upon the shores of his island, at the end where one could see the shores of the mainland. His dark gaze was on the ebony-spotted ivory figure that moved about on the sandbar that stretched between his island and the mainland. When he looked carefully he could tell that is was a feline, a snow leopard cub to be exact. He smiled, judging by it's scent it was a fawn shapeshifted into her form.
He jumped down into the water from the little he had stood on, the water rising only to below his knees, and made his way over toward the shapeshifted doe, "Well, it's not every day that I have a visitor...I just want to know who it is, and why you've come." he said, his tone level and kind, polite toward the creature. He was much larger than the cub, and would more than like be larger than the doe in her deer form.

Sleath pushed herself back onto her haunches, carefully and deliberately looking in every place but Kamir until the last moment, where her eyes locked proudly on his. A slow smirk shifted onto her snarling expression. "Why, Hello" She purred, unsheathing her claws and kneading the ground. Her tail thrashed wildly behind her, its tip annoyingly wet. In all forms she despised being wet. Then she continued on her path, moving confidently and innocently along the ground as if she had absolutely no idea a stag might object to having a stranger fawn just walk in. Ignoring a stag was one of the best ways to get it mad, all the ones she'd met got very angry should she not give a d**n about their big fancy horns, or stubs where horns would grow. Though maybe this western stag wouldn't be so much up himself, he had tried to be polite afterall. Then again she might not look as vicious as she thought she did... Too fuzzy, that was her problem. Fawn or leopard she was a cuddlable fuzz-ball. All in time... she reminded herself, when she got bigger... Or so she hoped. It wasn't like the buck scared her either, just another face at another time.

Kamir Well, you won't give me your name But I'll play your little game
Kamir thingyed his head to one side. Well, whatever she was doing around here, where she was right now didn't matter much to him. After all, she wasn't in his valley, that luscious green valley hidden behind the dead looking trees of the island. He sighed gently and shook his head from side to side, his impressive rack of antlers swinging along. He stepped out onto the water and decided to talk a little to the fawn.
"Hello. Why are you out here alone? Shouldn't you be with your mother?" he asked her gently. He took in a deep breath of air, making sure he didn't scent a doe around that could've come with the fawn. Before long he turned his gaze on the snow leopard cub, watching her for a few moments, wondering why she was out here alone. It didn't even bother him at all that she hadn't answered his two previous questions...she was only a fawn after all, he couldn't treat a fawn the same way he would treat a full-grown deer, which would've been a different story about here.

Sleath rolled back onto her haunches again, but this time looked directly at Kamir. A frown creased her forehead, he should have been ragingly mad by now. Though this was a Western stag she supposed, maybe they all let anyone and anything wander nto their lands. She wonderd if he would still be polite if she started chewing is leg... The thought brought a real smile on her face, as twisted as it as. "I'm here cause I can be, I am not alone, you are here." Sleath explained simply, shaking her head slightly at the question. How anyone could walk up to another and say they were alone made no sense, the moment they were close, neither of them were alone. Sleath lifted a paw, deftly licking the back and then using it to clean behind one of her ears. "As for family, well... Floods are pretty dangerous when you can't climb a nice tall tree" Her smile returned to its usual smirking self.

Kamir Well now, lets not get personal I'm sure you'd rather not know about me and all
Kamir watched the cub even more curiously...so, she wasn't bothered by the fact that she didn't have a family anymore? How odd to find that in a fawn. He sighed gently and wondered whether he should just leave her there...but no, he couldn't. She was still a fawn, no matter what...she couldn't live alone out there for too long...but at the same time he wasn't so sure about taking her in himself. He still had no does that would know about watching a fawn and taking care of one, he certainly didn't know how to.
"Well, you were alone before I came...that is what I was referring to...and I'm sorry as for your family." he replied simply, his tone still calm...even a little bored. Maybe he should just leave...after all, she didn't seem in the least bit interested in talking, nor in finding a place to call home. Ah well...he would stick around for a bit more and see how it went.

Sleath frowned. Westerns really were like some foreign species, and she was beginning to feel more like her age. "Why are you so nice!?" she demanded, flicking into a fawn's shape and standing up, chin tilted skywards, ears facing forward. "Don't I bother you in the slightest?" She hated the way her voice whined. Six months of life and she had already done her darndest to push herself into false maturity, and felt it slipping at the real calm authoritive authority of the stag. It wasn't fair, she'd wandered into his lands which should have annoyed him, but didn't, then she'd disrespected him and still the same! Sleath felt offended, knew it was stupid to be offended and got worse with each second. More and more like the spoilt malicious brat she was.

Kamir Just remain calm I can deal with how you are
Kamir tilted his head to one side. Now she was sounding and even acting a little more like your usual fawn. He watched as she transformed back into her fawn form. He let his dark eyes look her over before he even tried to reply to her question.
"You're not really bothering me. Why would I be bothered by someone who has only shown no interest in talking? besides, there's a difference between being nice and being polite, as I'm sure you have yet to learn." he said simply, his tone still calm and even. It was a wonder that he only had a few fawns to call sons and daughters roaming who knows where. It was a shame indeed...but ah well.
Kamir continued to just stand there, watching her...this fawn had been full of surprises so far, so now he couldn't do much more than wait and see what she does next.

Sleath bristled, inwardly and outwardly. It wasn't fair! She especially didn't like the way he stared at her, she wanted... Maybe not grovelling, but something close. She was vicious was she not? Though of course since trotting inland she'd felt much less special around deer which could change just as easily as she. "You're perfectly right sir" Sleath snarled, wishing so much she could make him less... Less... What was the word? Indifferent maybe, or was it unperturbed? "You're not nice. I have talked, if I had no interest in it, I wouldn't have replied when you first spoke to me." Don't whine, if you start whining thats your dignity down the drain.

Kamir Oh well now we're moving on Couldn't we let this be gone?
Kamir sighed and shook his head. Why was this fawn being so...well actually, attempting to be difficult. The whole thing was actually kinda cute really. Well, she certainly didn't seem to be looking for a place to stay, and he had to get back to the meadow...he had scented some other animals about and wanted to find out where they lived, just so that he could warn of those homes to any does he brought back here.
"Well...just because you reply doesn't mean you're interested in talking...you didn't answer any questions, so I suppose you're not interested in talking nor much else...now, if you'll excuse me, I have business to attend to." he said calmly, his voice free of emotion as he spoke. He turned around and started heading back to the island, enjoying the feeling of the sand beneath his hooves and the water lapping about his ankles, if she wanted anything more or even was interested in having a calm conversation, well she would approach him herself.
