Sun passed over the little thicket wood with a happy intent, seeming to shine out all good will. A glint of rust stuck out from this currently droll brown wood, the crunch and crackle of leaves accompanied by the occasional scraping of bark the only sign of life. Cloven hooves trod with care, brow prongs stabbing out his mark in the wood-flesh on every other trunk. He grunted at his own luck, having found such an awsome place to start his newer life. With a sudden flick of the head, antlers caught a trunk offguard, the thick thunk echoing through the stagless forest.
"Here, here." He muttered quietly under his breath, licking his drying lips. The cold was sucking everything into the snow, and the air made him thrist more often. The soft gurgle of the nearby stream solved that problem though, and luckily it appeared to be low in a deep ravine. That meant there would be plenty of water. Tucking himself back int the thicket of briats and brambles, the buck let out another grumble. A gathering place to sleep with his does. There was practically walls made out of pirckers here, and in the spring, there was bound to be a foliage fourtress built for them. What appeared to be a rock face was pressed to one side in one of the smaller roomlets of the thicket. There was a cave too... Perfect for the rain and wind, and then there would be heat in the winter and a cool breeze in the summer. This place appeared to be perfect.
With thought, he gored the ground at the enterence fo the thicker with his hooves and horns, eyes narrowed in determination. Here, let's see some other slagger try to come in here and steal his turf now. Haha! Turning back, Rome glanced about. Hsi boundaries had taken a morning to mark, and with a central camp founded, this would become him. His urine trailed around the borders, a stench strong enough to knock a skunk out with its fumes. It'd be a calling card for anybody in the area to watch their step. Here. His. This is mine. All mine! I claim thee, Briar Ravine!
Thus was said and Romeo claimed the land as the lead stag. It is unknown who is Juliet would be, however.
Briar Ravine- A deep river snakes across one border of this area, the moderately arraged land made up of small hills. There is a flat thicket in the middle of the area that is troublesome to travel through unless you know the paths to follow. Trees are closely placed, making it warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The ravine is too deep to flood, but it is a hazard to get water unless you know the beaches that are hidden in the cloak of nettles.
