It was just breaking dawn when the small doe could feel the natural push which she had been waiting on for several months and since the beggining of the labor just a few hours ago she had come to a secluded part of the homelands to give birth. She had chosen the area carefully before birth, a small shaded area sandwiched between two broken down walls but sheltered enough and quiet enough for her to feel safe.
She was exhausted by the time the small fawn doe entered the world. She was at first still but after a gentle lick from mom she was soon wriggling free of the afterbirth. Coco was the first to stand but didn't stray from her new fawn just leaving her to get ready on her own.
Wow! It was cold! It was so quick and she was hardly able to take it all in at first. She opened her eyes and stared wildly at the large blurry shape that was licking her gently. She smelt so sweet... but why was she waliing away? The small doe moved her wobbly legs in attempt to get closer to her but being so wobbly and small the first few tries were complete failures but at last she was able to stand on all fours and waddling over to Coco with expectant eyes. The sweet smell of milk oozed from her and it took her but seconds to figure out where it was coming from.
Coco watched contently as the fawn suckled.

xx I felt I should have left coco to her privacy and her wants. Yet, was she no mate of mine? Was she a hind who wouldn't allow me to watch the birth of my first ever fawn? A small smile crossed my face, as I realized that my bloodline was now being carried on. A shiver running down my spine, I shivered. It was cold, yet it was spring was it not? There was a slight freeze on the grass, but the sun covered the lands and the sun warmed his back. Lowering his head and grazing, a sigh came. Bringing his head up, mouth full of grass as he lifted his antlers up to view his lands he saw Coco walking off. He saw her stress as she was in labour. Nickering to himself he trotted towards her. Walking now silently he stopped beside a Large oak. Damon sighed, how can I hide my form from my mate who now needs my help? My encourging to not give up! Damon thought, shaking his head, dissapointed in himself. Walking to her and stopping a metre off and lowering his antlers and nickered.
xx "Good luck..." He whispered gently. Then when the fawn was born he saw it was a hind. Smiling, he nudged the fawn to try get up. He was shivering with exitment. Snorting and looking at the hind, he realized that she had the vivid spots that he now had!

She was tired from the birth yet pleased with herself that she was able to go through with it without anything going wrong. The little fawn was a doe, she could see that pretty much as soon as she was born. SHe had a coat very similar to her fathers yet her eyes and elegant doe form had been from her mothers side. Her eyes carried the same essence of kindness but a little nervous at the new things. Coco brushed the remaining damp which was quickly drying from the warmth of the morning sun. She smiled warmly at her mate and stopped breifly.
"She looks like her daddy."
Her tail was momentarily stuck in between her legs while she stood. The cold nose that nudged her hind was frightening yet comforting at the same time - the scent was so familiar yet this deer was not her mother. It smelt much more... musky and the huge things on his head were more than enough to question his personality. Parting her lips, no sound came out not even a squeak but she thought that it might be normal though these things were making strange noises to each other. Why couldn't she do that?

I watched the young fawn intently. Smiling breifly at my mate who was licking the fawn. My first fawn was a hind, who would hopefully carry on his family.
"What shall we name her?"
