mess with me, and i'll make you wish you hadn't
[/right] willow bounced along in a fawn-like manner. she was in a better mood than she usually was, but it surely wouldn't last for long. her pelt shook as the cold air hit it with an extreme force. she stopped in her tracks and gave a low growl. the scent of a stag hit her nostrils and she filled with hatred. willow took advantage of her abilities and turned to a snowy colored wolf.
the wolf turned toward the source of the scent and crouched low to the ground, her bushy tail swinging slowly from side to side. she jumped to the side, hiding within a deep pile of fluffy white snow. she let only enough of her body to poke out so that she was able to see where her prey was coming from. she was hungry, seeing as she hadn't eaten in a while, and a healthy young stag would surely satisfy her need. she waited silently for the prey to reveal itself.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Where had the doe gone? Rainer had seen a doe walking through from on top of a hill, and he had trotted down to investigate. But now that he was down in the wood, he had lost visual, and the wind was blowing away from him. He did not know if the doe was friendly or not, but he wasn't about to take a chance, after all, if it was a southern doe, it could be extremely aggressive. He promptly shifted into his black panther form, and trotted forward, senses on full alert.

[/right] willow remained hidden, her red eyes never leaving the spot where the prey was sure to come from. when the prey emerged, she noticed that it was a rather large stag, although they were equally matched while she was in her wolf form. she watched as the stag transformed into a large black panther and knew that she now had little chance of having a meal today. maybe she could convince him that she wasn't a threat and then attack him while he was off guard.
willow transformed back into her feminine doe form and trotted out of the bushes, batting her eyelashes at the stag. hmm, maybe if i put on a charade and act like i'm one of those kind does, he will let his guard down. she smiled at him and then decided to make up a story as to why she was in the bushes. "sorry for running from you. i wasn't sure if you were dangerous or not, but you seem okay." she couldn't decide whether or not to give out her real name to this stag and decided not to. "i'm rainbow! what's your name?" the whole time her tone was a preppy and bubbly tone, a far cry from her normal tone of voice.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rainer saw a doe with several markings enter onto the path through the brush. She seems nice, he thought, but something isn't right. He noted her red eyes, strange, he had never seen a deer who had red eyes and wasn't hostile. I'll see who she is, and decide what to do then.
Without changing back into a deer, Rainer responded in a kind voice while bowing slightly "Hello Rainbow, I am Rainer of the west."

[/right] willow let a false smile creep upon her mug as she continued her charade. when she saw the stag's gaze wander upon her piercing red eyes, she decided she should make up a lie about those too. she allowed her head to turn away from them and let a few false tears run down her cheeks. she then spoke in a quiet tone that could make almost anyone believe that she was indeed crying. "t-they're from my father. he was an eastern deer who raped my northern mother..." she allowed her false tears to run further down her delicate face, waiting to see if she could convince the stag to change into his normal form.
willow continued to speak in her soft tone. "i hate them because they remind me of what my father did. my mother left me when i was a fawn because they reminded her of him..." willow allowed her head to droop lower before she began to slowly trot away, as if she was ashamed of crying. she slowed to a stop a few yards away and glanced back at the stag slightly, not allowing him to see her when she looked at him. she allowed her tears to continue flowing, waiting for him to come try to comfort her. if he didn't try to comfort her, then she would turn into a wolf and attack him, but if he did he might get a few more minutes on the earth.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rainer was not sure what to think or the doe's story. On one hand, if she was telling the truth, she could have the worst of both sides in her blood, the cruelty of the easterners and the high and mightiness of the northerners. On the other hand, she could just have the best of both sides, the boldness of the north mixed with the cunningness of the east. Or she could be lieing altogether. Rainer was officially flustered. His instincts were telling him caution, but being a westerner he felt a duty to be kind. he decided on a compromise.
Rainer padded up beside the doe cautiously, still in panther form. and said in a comforting voice, "I'm sorry... it seems you have gone through allot." Rainer thought he saw some of her muscles tense, but he decided to blame that on the light.

[/right] willow stood still as she awaited the arrival of the stag. she allowed the tears to continue rolling down her soft, feminine, facial features and contined to let them fall upon the powdery snow. she looked down at the small indents from where the snow had melted away from the warm, salty tears. when she heard the panther padding toward her she turned her head slightly to look toward him.
she listened as the stag spoke. "i'm sorry... it seems you have gone through a lot." she looked at him through her teary eyes before she spoke. "i-i'm sorry. it's just that your form reminds me of the person i'm supposed to call dad. i met him once and his form is a panther too..." se sniffled a bit before she looked at him again. "it's just hard for me to talk to panther's now. c-could you change back into a deer, please? it would make me feel safer..." she sniffled and dried up her tears a bit. she wondered if he would change back. she would converse with him a bit before she would try to attack him, or maybe she wouldn't... who knows? it would just depend on how she was feeling at the moment.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rannoch thought her request a bit odd, but her reasoning was undeniable. He looked at the tears falling from her face. well, it seems like she's telling the truth, he thought carefully to himself. then changed into stag form, all changing but his his pelt which remained black as night, and his ear which stood out like a white beacon from the darkness of his pelt.
Rannoch walked a few steps closer, and said "sorry, didn't mean to awaken unwanted memories..." While he was saying it he thought back to when she had came out of the brush. she had no problem talking to a panther then, he thought, and what kind of northern doe who hated their child would name it Rainbow? especially when the fawn has red eyes... But he did not voice these concerns about the wholes in her story. Instead, he wend on smiling, observing her strange markings, and waiting for her answer.

[/right] 'rainbow' watched as the stag transformed back into his deer form. she looked over his body, it was pure black with snow white ears sticking out. she dried up the last of her tears before placing her head upon his chest, as if she was looking for comfort from him, although this was likely only a plot to get her mouth closer to his neck, but who was to say he would aim for the stag's neck? it seems rather cliche to her.
willow listened as the stag began to speak to her in a comforting tone. "sorry, didn't mean to awaken unwanted memories..." she sniffled a bit before she spoke in a soft tone of voice. "it's okay... it's not your fault." she nuzzled his strong chest as if she was looking for comfort from those 'painful memories'. she decided that it was now time for the attack. she transformed into her wolf form within miliseconds and lept at the stag's throat. she thought her teeth locked onto something, but she wasn't sure if she had. she began to shake her head back and forth, hoping that she had latched onto something.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rainer allowed the contact from the doe, feeling responsible for making her touch the past.
It all seemed to happen in slow motion. The doe before him changed into a menacing wolf and lept with hungry eyes at him. he barely had time to move his neck out of the way, but his suspicion had payed off, and his mussels were already ready to move. he felt the wolf's fur sweep accost where his neck had been less than a second ago, followed quickly by the disturbance caused in the air. he turned his head, following the sight of the wolf flying by him, and seeing her grab onto a branch just behind him, and mutilate it.
Without waiting for her to return from her meal of tree sap, he bounded a few yards away, and turned to face her, lowering his antlers and stomping hard on the ground. he wanted to keep his form up his sleeve for now.
"lets play!" he growled, bracing himself for whatever she through at him.

[/right] willow went flying past the stag and grasped onto the branch, ripping it to shreads in her razor sharp teeth. she turned and spit out the pieces of broken wood. she let a low growl erupt from deep within her chest and her evil red eyes locked on his blue ones. she lowered her body into an attack position. willow began to circle the stomping stag before she prepared to leave.
she acted as if she was walking away before she turned and lept at the stag. this time she was almost certain that she landed upon his back. she dug her claws in and began to try to rip at the flesh. well, she might not have landed on his back, but she landed on him somewhere this time and it surely wasn't his antlers. she ripped at whatever her claws and teeth could get to. when she finally got a grip on something with her teeth she bit down as hard as she could, hoping to break bones or through the skin. she thought she could taste the crimson red liquid fill her mouth, but it could just be memories, although she highly doubted it.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

As the doe walked around him, he followed her with his eyes, adjusting his defensive position to her creeping movements. As she lept again at him, he attempted to get her with his antlers while she was in midair. to slow, she landed on his back and promptly began digging in. he twisted and turned, trying desperately to shake her off. He winced as she bit down onto the top of his haunch, it was not a deep bite, luckily for him, but it was a bite none the less. Finlay, in a desperate move, he rolled across the ground pressing her between himself and the ground as hard as he could. he then quickly got up, and charged the dazed wolf, using his antlers to toss her a few more feet away, giving him more room.
His back hert tremendously as it was scratched up, not to mention the bite which throbbed dully, letting out blood. Now he was furious. He changed into panther form. Turning every ounce of pain and blood he had into pure energy, he roared "YOU'LL PAY!" As he lunged, quick as lightning at her, retractable claws gleaming black as death in the dim sunlight, ivory teeth barred.

[/right] willow had finally grasped something, the stag's haunch, and tore into it with all her might. she grasped tighter as the stag twisted and turned, attempting to throw her from his back. when the stag began to roll, willow attempted to leap from his back, but her rear leg was caught under him. he rolled on it and she felt great pain in it, but she knew that it wasn't quite broken or fractured.
she let out a gasp as the antlers came in contact with her side, tossing her a few feet from the stag. she was lucky enough to only get hit by one sharp point. it ripped slightly at her foreleg, causing a bit of blood to trickle down it. she slid a few feet before regaining her breath and leaping to her feet. she listened as the stag told her that she would pay and then transformed into a panther. she got on her guard as the panther prepared to leap at her. when the panther lept at her she quickly lept out of the way. the panther caught her rear leg and dealt a powerful blow to her rump. blood poured slightly from a few claw marks and this made her furious. she lept at the throat of the panther, her powerful jaws locking on somewhere close. she ripped and tore with all her might, hoping to rip out the windpipe or whatever was there.[/blockquote][/blockquote]

Rainer felt the excitement of the fight wash over him, his body becoming slightly numb to pain, but his senses becoming sharper. His heart pounding with excitement and horror at the smell and taste of blood.
He winced as the momentary pang of pain hit hit him as she gouged into his haunch. He snarled in both pain and delight, attempting to claw her face with both paws while trying to bite her leg. he knew the only way to get her mouth out of his flesh was to hurt her badly back. He desperately tried to score her underside with his hind claws.
