I took small, measured steps out into open, dusk echoed around me and I was already kind of tired. I had never known my father, and my mother had died in labour, with me. Despite only having half a years experience my young mind was also more mature than others of my young age. I guess this came from surviving alone. But i was lonely now, and had been sure I had seen some movement in this area. I warily flicked my tired eyes around, searching for any sign of another deer. I was nervous, I knew that a young doe such as myself could easily be a burden, and I may be rejected in my search for companionship once more.

Rannoch took a deep breath of the cool evening air. what a day. he had already chased off three foxes that had been trying to sneek around and get themself's a helping of doe. Rannoch was very tired by now, he had several fresh bite marks along him from the resent battles. He sniffed the air, making sure it was over. as the number of deer in the land got smaller, it seemed the other animals were moving back in. suddenly, rannoch smelled somthingthat wasnt there before.
